A group of friends enjoying the sunset over the hills of Chianti Tuscany

We are located just on the south western border of Chanti Classico, a 7,000ha DOCG area. The principle villages and leading wine growing sites are Radda, Greve, Gaiole, Panzano and Castellina. Podere Sant'Alberto lies in the foothills below Castellina. The area is synonymous with Sangiovese based red wines and are often the truest expression of the limestone, clay and galestro soils. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are also widely planted and can provide complimentary characteristics to Sangiovese. These varieties are also vinified individually in the region to make some of the regions premium wines.
